Admit a new student
Adds the student to your school + their academic record for the active year + generates fee installments + (optionally) assigns transport — all in one shot.
Step-by-step
- Open Students → Admission (or tap "+ New Admission" from the Students tab).
- Basic info: full name, admission no (tap AUTO for school-prefixed sequential, or type your own).
- Class & section: pick from the dropdowns. Section options come from the year you set up.
- Personal: DOB, gender, blood group, religion, caste, Aadhaar, PEN number, birth certificate no.
- Contact: address, parent phone (this becomes the parent's login mobile).
- Parents: father / mother / guardian — name, phone, email, occupation.
- Previous school (optional): name, last class, percentage.
- Fee structure: pick from the saved structures. Schedule preview shows installment count + total.
- Transport (optional): pick vehicle + boarding stop + fee structure.
- RTE / Discounts: tick if applicable. RTE skips fee generation entirely; discount applies % or flat ₹.
- Tap Admit Student. The parent account is created with the phone as login + a default temp password.
FAQs
Two students with the same name?
Admission number is unique per school — that's the disambiguator. Roll number is unique per (class, section, year). Names can repeat.
Bulk admission?
Not yet a single CSV upload. The fastest path is one admission per minute via the form — the AUTO admission-no button skips typing one field, and you can save common values (e.g. all from same class) by re-opening the form quickly after a save.
Forgot to attach fee structure?
Student lands in the Unassigned bucket (Students → Archive → Unassigned). Open their profile → "Assign to Class" — same modal lets you pick the fee structure and generate the schedule.
Parent has two children in the school?
Use the same login mobile when admitting the second child. The system links both students to the same parent account — they can switch between children inside the parent app.
