Write-off & reverse payment

Two different actions for "this installment isn't getting paid in cash":

Write-off — installment is forgiven. Amount drops to 0 effectively. Use for hardship cases, RTE backfill, scholarships.
Reverse Payment — undo a payment you just recorded by mistake. Restores the installment to PENDING.

How to write-off

Student profile → Fees → tap the pending installment.
"Write Off" button → enter amount + reason.
Confirm. Installment marked WRITTEN_OFF; entry in audit log.

FAQs

Will write-off appear in Income?

No. Write-offs are tracked separately so your Income figure shows only actual money received. Analytics → Fees breakdown shows write-offs in a distinct row.
