Archive — TC / Alumni / Unassigned
Students who aren't in the active class roster live in one of three buckets. Open from Students → Archive.
| Bucket | Who's in it | What you can do |
|---|---|---|
| Active | Currently in a class for this year | Open profile, mark attendance, collect fees |
| Unassigned | Status ACTIVE but no class for this year (carry-over not yet promoted) | Promote via wizard OR assign to class manually |
| TC Issued | Left school via TC (formal exit) | View profile, view past fees, re-admit within 7 days |
| Alumni | Graduated (Class 12 pass-outs) | View profile, download certificates |
FAQs
Why is a student in Unassigned?
They were admitted but no fee structure was attached, OR they're a carry-over from last year (the principal closed the previous year before running the promotion wizard). Open the profile → Assign to Class to fix.
"Failed" / "Suspended" bucket gone — where do those students show?
In the Active bucket. A student who failed last final is still an ACTIVE student in the next year (re-taking the class). The failure is recorded on the per-year academic record (visible in the History tab of the profile), not as a person-level status. Avoids the confusing "where did this kid go?" trap.
